Technical Rescue
The Northshore Fire Department has 12 rescue technicians with specialized skills in rope, confined space, trench and structural collapse rescue. Each member of the team has participated in as much as 200 hours of initial training in technical rescue and maintains their skills with 40 hours of refresher training each year. The team is based at the Kenmore Fire Station and works as part of a regional response to technical rescues.
